Heard that Moulton quote on some news podcast and it was so chilling. TY for the great write-up.

Yes, but…WHY does it resonate so with people? As Walz says, mind your own damn business! My life, my body, my choices. BTW, I knew I was trans when I was 5 years old. It took me another 60 years to do something about it, and NOBODY takes that away from me now!

It scares the GOP base voters, but no one else cares.

The boys in girl’s sports is the only part that is unpopular with “trans rights,” but not blocking hormonal treatments for trans voters or their existence— but even that argument can be made if they take it seriously, imo.

Eff Philippe Reines, never liked the guy personally and he’s blaming the wrong faction of the party entirely- it was his, not the Left wing, that caused this result by moving too far Right in all chambers.

Trans adults may be 1% of the adult population, but I think what democrats are worried about is the rapid increase in trans identifying children in the last 10 years. One example: https://open.substack.com/pub/evakurilova/p/concerning-data-on-trans-kids-in?r=3xjdqg&utm_medium=ios

Nobody should take away your rights to live, love and be who you want, but children and young adults don’t have the brain development to make life altering decisions at these young ages. So while support for trans athletes may not have cost Harris the presidency, the concern for medically harming children and young adults is very real.
